The Vocal Music training consists of learning Hindustani (North Indian) Classical Vocal Music in a traditional and systematic way. Students are taught various genres of Hindustani Music such as- Khayal, Thumri, Dadra, Bhajan etc. Although the Vocal Music training emphasizes on the repertoire of Patiala-Kasur gharana, compositions from other gharanas (styles) are also taught. Starting from the rudiments of vocal music like- learning long notes, various alankars (musical patterns) etc, students’ progress through learning basic ragas with simpler pieces and gradually move to more advanced ones.

Lessons are designed to cater specific needs of the student also, which comprise of voice training for different genres of singing, understanding and pronunciation of songs and singing with cross-cultural music. Harmonium lessons for playing basic notes, Alankars (musical patterns) and compositions are also taught.
